First up, Lynne Frederick (No Blade of Grass, Nicholas and Alexandra) as seem in the 1974 horror/sci-fi movie Phase IV,plays Kendra Eldridge, a girl living in the American Southwest whose life is turned upside down by an ant infestation that kills off her parents and ends up with her becoming the queen of the ants as they take over Earth:

Did She Wear Out Her Shoes??? Did She Lose Her Shoes???
Or Did She Just Love Going Barefoot??? You'd Think Kendra's Grand Parents Would've
Told Her To Wear Shoes With All The Dangerous Ants Crawling Around!!!
Cute Feet Though!!!
She was barefoot because:
1) She lived in the rural south, and probably did that a lot
2) When the solar eclipse happened and the ants' intelligence increased (with the ants battling Kendra and her grand parents), she was barefoot and most likely had no time to put on shoes
3) Kendra just liked going barefoot, because she was a farmgirl (and an Earth momma.)
